NFL Games in London 2018

NFL football on a grass field

London has just welcomed a new royal baby and this fall will welcome the National Football League (NFL) who will play three 2018 regular season games in London.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Oakland Raiders

The Seattle Seahawks, winners of the 2014 Super Bowl, will play the Oakland Raiders in Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium on October 14. The Oakland Raiders will bring coach Jon Gruden, who is returning to coaching after nine years away. He first coached the Raiders from 1998-2001 before moving to Tampa Bay. Russell Wilson, the quarterback for the Seahawks, led his team to two recent Super Bowls and will provide a challenge to the Raiders’ defense. Kick-off will be 6 pm. Look for tickets to go on sale in early August, since the new stadium needs to be completed before a seating plan can be made.

Tennessee Titans vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Quarterback Philip Rivers and the Los Angeles Chargers will host the Tennessee Titans on October 21 in Wembley Stadium at 1:30 pm. Rivers last appeared in London with the Chargers in 2008, while the Titans will be playing their first regular season game in London.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The hottest match-up in London this season will be the Philadelphia Eagles versus the Jacksonville Jaguars in Wembley Stadium, on October 28. The Eagles are coming off of their Super Bowl LII win and will be making their first appearance in London. Sure to draw cheers from the London crowd will be Eagles running back Jay Ajayi, born in London and playing his second season with Philadelphia. Ajayi rushed for 57 yards in their Super Bowl win. The Jaguars are playing their sixth home game in London, and also had a very good season last year, winning the AFC South. Kick-off will be 1:30 pm.

Tickets for both NFL games at Wembley will go on sale at 10 am on Tuesday, May 1, via Ticketmaster and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendance has been averaging about 84,000 per game in recent years.

Plan a trip with Sceptre to London this October so you can cheer on your favorite NFL team while also enjoying this wonderful cosmopolitan European city, or plan a day trip or short stay in London during your longer vacation in England.
